A tragic accident in Memphis, Tennessee, claimed the life of a 22-year-old passenger. The wreck occurred on Feb. 19 at the intersection of Coleman Road and Austin Peay.

The loss of a loved one can bring a family such sorrow, especially when it happens so unexpectedly — and needlessly. You may be focused on grieving and not realize how much your loved one’s loss of income will affect your family’s finances. You can seek compensation from the at-fault party for your loved one’s final expenses, pain and suffering, medical expenses and lost income. An attorney can help you hold the at-fault party liable for taking your loved one’s life. Even though he or she may face criminal charges, a civil case for compensation is separate.
