Car and motorcycle collide in deadly accident

A motorcycle and a car collided in Memphis, Tennessee, and the motorcyclist was thrown off of his bike after he lost control of it. He was critically injured at the scene of the crash and emergency crews rushed him to the hospital. Though the doctors tried to save him, he passed away from his injuries shortly thereafter.

The man was only 28 years old at the time of his death.

No charges have been brought about in the case yet, and the police have not officially finished their investigation to determine who was at fault. However, it does appear that a woman in a small car pulled out in front of the bike.

The woman was going down Whisper Ridge Boulevard, while the motorcycle was coming down Shelby Drive. The car then made a left-hand turn in front of the bike, onto Shelby. The biker apparently slammed on his brakes to avoid the crash, but that just caused him to go out of control, and he ended up running into the side of the car, anyway.

The car's driver said that she thought the road was clear and that it was safe to turn. She was taken to the hospital in the wake of the crash, though her injuries do not appear to be serious, and officials have said that she and the passenger who was with her at the time will completely recover.

If you've been injured by a driver who pulled out into traffic without enough space to do so, or if you've lost a loved one in such a wreck, you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries and other costs.
