Man kills 3 in car accident in Tennessee

Being in a car accident can leave you injured, sometimes for life. You can be hurt and your passengers can be hurt. Your loved ones can be killed if the driver of the vehicle who caused the crash is driving recklessly or with carelessness. One man caused the death three people in Houston County, Tennessee. He is being charged with three counts of vehicular homicide.

The 37-year-old man who is from new Johnsonville, Tennessee, was headed south on Highway 13, just south of Erin, Tennessee, in Houston County. He crossed the center of the highway into the path of oncoming traffic and hit another car head on, killing all three people that were in the other car. The Tennessee Highway Patrol was on the scene.

The three who were killed included two men and an 11-day-old daughter of one of the men in the car. Can you imagine the overwhelming sadness that this family must face? They lost their son and their granddaughter in one accident because a driver fell asleep at the wheel.

The driver who fell asleep is being held on a $1 million bond. He is waiting to be arraigned at the Houston County Jail. This man was involved in a very similar accident in 2007 in Indiana. According to the police report issued at that time, the man, who was 28, was on a state road near Princeton, Indiana, when he crossed the center line of traffic and hit the left side of a car going the same direction as he was. He then entered the oncoming traffic and collided with another car head-on. He has also been arrested for driving without a license, and driving while his license was revoke or suspended.

If you have been involved in a car accident and need recompense for lost wages, medical bills or pain and suffering, you may want to look into asking a legal representative some vital questions about the laws of the state of Tennessee.
