4 pedestrians involved in Tennessee car wreck

Whenever people need to cross the road in a busy metropolitan area, it can be a risky move. However, there are rules of the road, and most people find it easy to cross and stay safe while cars are out and about. Nevertheless, there are times when pedestrians find themselves in danger of becoming involved in a car accident. A recent Tennessee car wreck involved four pedestrians.

The accident occurred on a Tuesday morning at nearly 3 a.m. in the middle of downtown Nashville. Four people, two men and two women, were struck by a car. All four of the victims were said to be lying in the street when help arrived. The women apparently suffered the worst of the injuries. All four were taken to a medical facility.

Two of the victims were 50 years old and one was 26. The fourth victim, a 35-year-old, was said to be unconscious due to the injuries she suffered. The driver who hit them was a musician who had performed the night before. Police have said that they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the car accident, and they do not foresee filing charges. The specifics of the accident were not further detailed.

Even though the driver in the car wreck may not face any criminal charges for hitting the four people, he could face civil complaints in a Tennessee courtroom. When someone suffers injuries as a result of being hit by a car, they may be able to seek damages against any party deemed responsible. To prevail in this case, it will be necessary to prove that the driver was negligent in a manner that caused or substantially contributed to the crash and injuries that resulted. If successful, the victims may be awarded a monetary judgment that could help them with medical bills, lost wages or any other expenses related to being the victim of a car crash.
