Tennessee car accident takes 3 lives

Whenever a person climbs into the passenger seat of a vehicle, that person is essentially putting his or her life in the hands of the driver of that vehicle. A driver then has the legal responsibility to safeguard his or her passengers in any way he or she can. If a car accident ensues and a passenger in Tennessee is killed or injured, they or their family may have cause to seek legal damage against a driver. A recent car accident in Tennessee could result in this kind of legal action, as three people died as a result of the crash and apparent actions of the driver.

The accident occurred as a driver was making her way around a left-hand curve. Authorities say she was driving too fast for the upcoming curve. This caused the car to go into the air and flip. Three people were ejected from the vehicle.

The 45-year-old driver died as a result of the crash. Two passengers in the vehicle, a 44-year-old man and 25-year-old man both died also. Police blamed speed, but they also released a report that said alcohol is a suspected factor in the car accident.

The families of the passengers who died may have legal recourse to seek monetary damages. If they were to be successful in a civil complaint against the estate of the driver, any monetary damages awarded could help them deal with the financial ramifications of the car accident. In Tennessee, these ramifications may include medical bills, lost wages and funeral costs due to the death of a loved one.
