Pit Bull Dog Attacks Female Cocker Spaniel

My friend's cocker spaniel was attacked by a pit bull dog last week. Lila Grace (the dog) and Chris (the owner) were visiting their friend in her apartment. The owner of the pit bull thought that her dog was locked in a bedroom. She was mistaken. Soon after Chris and the Lila Grace entered the apartment, the pit bull saw the friendly cocker spaniel and immediately attacked. The pit bull bit Lila Grace on the left side of her throat; Pit bulls instinctively go for the jugular to subdue their victims.

Lila Grace's throat was severely injured. Bravely, Chris grabbed the pit bull dog and pulled it off his beloved sweet cocker spaniel. Chris arm was injured, but nowhere near like Lila Grace's throat. Chris took Lila Grace to the vet where she received over 20 stitches to her neck. I saw her the next day and the wound was so deep her white flesh under the skin was visible. She has been a real trooper throughout all this. She did survive and is wearing one of those plastic lamp shade looking things around her head. The cost so far for her vet bill is over $1000 and growing. She has a tube to allow the infection to drain from her neck. I can't tell you enough times that no matter how sweet you think your pit bull dog is, they have a very destructive gene or flaw in their chemistry that makes all pit bulls subject to attack. I am warning all pit bull owners to be extra careful if they own a pit bull. You may think your dog won't do what this one did. But you have been warned. If you are someone you know has been injured by a dog attack, call the dog bite lawyers at the Gold Law Firm.
