Multi-vehicle car wreck kills 1 in Tennessee

Driving along the highway can be treacherous under any circumstances. When one vehicle loses control, it can become even more dangerous and difficult to avoid becoming involved in a car wreck. Recently in Tennessee, a chain reaction crash involved several vehicles, and left one man dead and others injured.

The accident started as an 83-year-old driver crossed over two lanes of traffic and came to a stop. An Impala driven by a 32-year-old woman was coming toward him in the northbound lane. She collided with the 83-year-old man's vehicle. This sent his car over a median and into the path of yet another vehicle.

That third vehicle then spun around and into the path of a GMA Arcadia driven by a 60-year-old man. The 83-year-old driver whose maneuver across two lanes was the beginning of this crash died at the scene. The occupants of the third vehicle hit were injured and said to be in serious condition. The first person hit also sustained injuries in the melee.

There is an investigation into the car accident, and a reconstruction of the crash was performed. Anytime someone is innocently injured in a multi-vehicle car wreck in Tennessee, there may be cause for that injured party to file a lawsuit in a civil court. They may seek and be awarded damages that could help them alleviate the financial ramifications of being involved in a car accident, if they are able to prove their injuries were caused by the negligence of another party. Many accident victims have extensive medical bills, lost wages or costly rehabilitative needs to contend with, and a settlement can help them get the treatment they may need to recover from their ordeal.
