Car wreck on Tennessee roadway kills 2

One area roadway in Tennessee is proving to be an especially dangerous stretch as another deadly car crash has taken place. The most recent car wreck on this particular stretch of highway claimed the life of both drivers involved. There is still an investigation into exactly what went wrong.

The car accident occurred on a Friday night and was the second fatal crash on that road on that particular night. A 32-year-old Tennessee woman was driving up the road when she crossed the center line of traffic for an unknown reason. She crashed right into a Nissan Altima coming towards her. That driver was a 55-year-old woman.

Both of the women died from their injuries at the scene of the crash. Investigators report that neither of the women was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Authorities were testing to see if there was any alcohol or drugs that may have played a role in the deadly crash.

While the investigation into this car wreck may take some time, the results could answer questions as to why the 32-year-old woman crossed the center line. If a driver was under the influence and crossed the center line, causing a car wreck and injuring or killing another, they may be held liable in a civil court. Because this driver died in the car wreck also, her estate may be held accountable for damages if the family of the other woman were to pursue a claim in a Tennessee civil court.
