Car wreck injures Tennessee business owner

Whenever someone is going about their normal routine at work, they may not expect to be the victim of an accident. Some jobs are obviously more dangerous or susceptible to injury or accident than others. However, for a Tennessee bakery owner, simply running his business as usual was enough to ensnarl him in a car wreck.

The bakery owner was apparently going about daily business when a car came crashing through the business. The car ended up completely inside of the store and covered with debris from the crash. According to witnesses, the driver may have hit the gas instead of the brake while driving in the parking lot of the bakery.

The bakery owner was hit by the vehicle that plowed through the establishment. Police were called o the scene of the crash and reportedly cited the driver. However, it is unclear what exactly the driver was cited for or if there would possibly by any other charges pending. It was reported that the business owner did not appear to be seriously injured, but the true extent of his injuries may not yet be known.

In a case like this where a store owner is hit while simply attending to his or her business, they may have to deal with lost wages, lost business due to damage to their facility, or even extensive medical bills resulting from injuries incurred in the incident. If a Tennessee employee or business owner is injured in a car wreck while on the job, they may be able to pursue civil action against the driver and garner damages. Any damages awarded in a successful civil case could help victims deal with expenses from the car wreck.
