5 teen boys injured in car accident

Having a loved one injured in a car accident can be disheartening. You could have lost this person. You wonder if you gave him or that last hug and wished this dear one well. It is even worse when it is your child. Did you give him or her the right advice about driving? Did he or she listen to you?

In Knoxville, Tennessee, five teenaged boys were involved in a car accident when the car that they were in, with one driving, lost control and hit a light pole and began rolling over. This tragedy could have been so much worse. They were hurt but are alive. One of the young men is in the hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries. The young men are going to be fine, but the car was totaled.

The Knoxville Police Department said that this accident happened on Interstate 640. The car that the five boys were in was travelling eastward at approximately 8:00 in the morning. All of the boys were taken to the hospital. Friends of the five said they were on a road trip to Florida over the Labor Day holiday.

If the driver of this car did not use due care, there could be trouble. The authorities in Knoxville are investigating the crash to determine if texting or distracted driving was an issue. Two of the boys wisely wore seat belts. The two were in the front seat and remained in the car after the crash. The three young men in the back seat were not buckled in and were thrown from the vehicle. One of them landed 100 feet from the car after it stopped rolling over.

If you have had a loved one involved in a car accident you know the injuries can be extensive and expensive. Knowing what recourse you have is important at a time like this.
