Car wreck on Tennessee Interstate claims a life

All it may take is a moment for a normal day to turn into one filled with tragedy. Such was the case recently as motorists traveled along Interstate 65, when one car crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle. As a result, the car wreck has left at least one dead and sent six more to a Tennessee hospital.

The accident occurred in the early afternoon hours. One vehicle is alleged to have crossed over the grassy median and into oncoming traffic. After the initial collision occurred, a jeep following one of the vehicles also collided with the other two vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle that crossed into the opposite lane was later pronounced dead by rescue officials. Meanwhile, both occupants in the jeep were transported to the hospital to be treated, as well as four other unidentified individuals. Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.

For those who have ever been involved or witnessed first hand the devastation of a car wreck, the trauma suffered can leave lifelong scars. Not only may these accidents take an extreme physical toll, but a mental one as well. In such cases, Tennessee investigators will often be tasked with determining what circumstances led to the accident in an effort to see if they can point to a specific driver as being at fault. This determination can assist a victim and their family in seeking financial relief for the damages they suffered, which may go a long way in protecting their long term needs.
