Tractor trailer slams into rear of van

A potential client called me this week who was involved in a tractor trailer accident. He was at work driving a company truck when the 18 wheeler slammed into the rear of the vehicle he was riding in. As a result of the accident, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Memphis who treated him for his wreck-related injuries. After he was released, he was unable to work. His bills totaled over $10,000.00. Unfortunately, he did not call me until over one year from the accident. In Tennessee, there is a one year statute of limitations on personal injury accidents. There was nothing I could do for him in regards to his accident.

If you are in any type of accident, it is important that you call a lawyer well before a year goes by so that you can obtain compensation for your injuries. Usually, trucking companies have a lot of insurance. Had this client called me earlier, I could have helped him.
