Recent trucking accident

Our client was stopped on the bridge between West Memphis and Memphis. Her tire blew out. There were no lanes to pull over to. While waiting in her vehicle for a wrecker to come tow her off the bridge, a tractor trailer rammed the back of her vehicle. She suffered a concussion and mostly neck and back injuries. The airbags deployed and she suffered some injuries from the airbag. Her car was pushed forward around 20 yards upon impact. At first, we did not know if the truck had insurance. It was owned by a company, but leased to another company. The owner of the truck "did not know the vehicle was out that day and in fact the owners insurance had lapsed." Fortunately, the company that leased the truck did have insurance. She incurred over $22,000.00 in medical bills from the emergency room alone and will be treated with physical therapy for at least three months. This illustrates what happens when people are distracted while they are driving. If you or someone you know is involved in a wreck with a truck or tractor tailor, you should call the wreck attorneys at the Gold Injury Law Firm.
